New house or to renovate?

When dealing with the real estate market, you are faced with several possibilities. You could buy a new, off-plan home that is under construction, a newly built home, or a used (or remodeled) home. Clearly the choice depends on your needs and availability.

A house still under construction will be priced slightly lower than a finished property. During the construction phase you can ask to make changes to the materials, type of floors, coverings, etc., all according to your preferences (within certain modification limits). However, the time necessary to carry out the works must be taken into account, plus the various variables, such as the availability of the company, the process of requesting building rights, bureaucracy and weather conditions.

If you can wait, if you are not in a hurry, you may find good investment opportunities in this pre-construction market.

The newly built houses are already built and ready to be inhabited shortly. They are designed according to the most recent standards on energy saving and eco-sustainability, therefore they are more technological and built with innovative materials of the latest generation. These features allow you to lower costs on gas and electricity bills, and for many years you won't have to worry about carrying out extraordinary maintenance.

For the purchase of a "used" property, the real estate market today offers multiple solutions, and if your initial availability is not high, this could be the right solution for you.

Saving on the purchase price is therefore a great advantage, consequently, with the money saved you can make all the changes you want to make the house completely yours.

Old houses, those that were built after the war, generally have high ceilings, windows and very large spaces. They are often equipped with cellars, outdoor spaces and large grounds. And, typically, they're in the best locations.
